Bathroom renovation in Whitfield, working with Asher Thomas, Tiler. I was engaged by the clients to create a modern & "light filled" bathroom concept & plan. Quoting and ordering the full product selection ensuring all items are landed to site ready for trades.  

Engaged by clients from the Gold Coast who were relocating to Cairns, and required renovations to be undertaken before moving here. 

We created a design concept working with a strict (yet generous) budget, to identify what could be carried out in stage 1. 

New flooring to the kitchen (hybrid vinyl), new kitchen & laundry (Pacific Kitchens), (ABI Interiors tapware), interior paint throughout (Look Sharp), new curtains (ready hangs- Spotlight), new doors and hardware. Coming into budget, on time, with happy clients moving in with their newly purchased furniture (from our design/mood board concept).

International clients needing a long overdue refurbishment on their very popular Palm Cove, Airbnb. A set budget, we worked together to identify the best way to upgrade with "bang for your buck". The brief was to create a relaxed coastal vibe that is easy to maintain and care for, as this is a busy holiday rental. I padded & covered the existing bedheads, new feature cushions throughout, wall art and mirrors, new lounge rug, quality artificial tropical plants and planters, lamps, throws, and tv & coffee tables.

Offline for 2 weeks to fit out.... time well spent during the Covid hiatus.

After helping my Melbourne clients with their bathroom renovation, they then required design and concept to carry out their kitchen upgrade. We discussed a full demo, with all new cabinets, but to safe approx $10,000 (as this is a holiday rental) I advised to "re-face" all cabinet fronts. Undertaking a materials selection for Laminex, Smartstone benchtops, new handles, appliances, tapware & sink, we ended with bar stool styling and the property was returned to the rental pool after the builder (KBL Constructions) had it offline for only 2 weeks.

This has been a wonderful and challenging project. The brief was to build in the open plan loft, with walk in robe. Creating a new glass wall, barn doors, and relocating robes, to allow the space to be fully air-conditioned. The new bathroom, fully tiled, needed to be bright and airy, so we installed a Velux roof window. The  custom made, fully frameless shower screen follows the rake of the ceiling, and the new cabinets, hold deep pull out drawers and laundry hamper, with plenty of top bench space for extra items. Timberline wall hung vanity, with beacon round LED mirror. ABI Interiors tapware.

From and old, dated, heavy timber vanity with 1980s tiling, we essentially retro-fitted to existing plumbing, whilst installing all new fittings. The clients main focus was to incorporate her favourite colour.... green. Which works out well, as it is on trend with a huge range of tiles and vanity colours. The Timberline vanity was a was built with a  bespoke colour "Dulux- Carrot flower", and black ABI Interiors tapware. Feature floor tiles from the DIY range, Picasso in sage green.
